PCB drama

A highly confused group of people in the press wanted to understand the reasoning behind players getting rewarded, banned, selected, dropped or retired quite often in a loop and not in any particular order. So, they made up their mind to go and get the details from the horse's mouths...off they go.

Press: Why do you think you were banned?
Player: Well, they would have to select me (my performance is so good) if I am not banned, so they banned me, but I fooled them by announcing my retirement.

(now, the press people sighed a relief, next they go to the selection committee)

Press:Why did you select a player who was banned by the disciplinary committee?
SC: Well, we have only included him in the 30 probables. He has appealed against his ban. The selection will be depending the outcome of the appeal.

(wow, that makes some sense, shortly they are surprised to find that ban was revoked, boy, will they ever give up, they pursue the matter with disciplinary committee)

Press:On what grounds was the life time ban revoked when it was given only 2 months back?
DC:Well, on a high profile tour like (aus/eng), you always need experience and he was anyway included in the probables, so we have decided to temporarily revoke his ban, but his inclusion in final 15 will be entirely up to Selection committee.

(press people are blown away by their findings, they summarize it here:)

"In other cricketing nations, players announce retirement once they stop getting selected for the national team. In Pakistan, they don't get selected unless they retire. "

Effectively, the same team that failed in Aus goes to Eng with a different captain!!
